» Job Description
Exciting opportunity to join the nationwide nonprofit Quiet Communities (QC) as assistant to the executive director with potential to make this position so much more. Work with a small team including the founder to help us take next steps onto the national stage. Remote is fine with the possibility for in-person meetings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain systems for filing documents, presentations, and correspondence.
- Help to create and maintain a system for tracking and corresponding with donors/members/followers.
- Manage the ED’s calendar, scheduling meetings and overseeing workflow.
- Take meeting minutes, distribute them to attendees, and follow up on action items.
- Support production of a monthly newsletter and social media outreach.
- Work with a team to coordinate virtual conferences and other special events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
- Knowledge of MailChimp, Google, SquareSpace, Powerpoint, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn and support use of membership/donor databases.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Motivated team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Familiarity with environmental and climate-related issues preferred.
Hourly compensation negotiable
- 20 hours to start with room for growth.
